SPRITE Regalia Sales

One-Off Smiling Sprite Pin 4-10-08

John Sprinzel has supported our every five year anniversary efforts to honor the Austin-Healey Sprite over the past quarter century. Years ago as one of our SPRITE gatherings drew to a close neither John nor I knew if we were ever going to see each other again. As we parted John gave me a small present. Little did he know how precious and what his present meant to me.

Over many years I have been collecting smiling Sprite pins. The collection is quite a sight. Some pins I have personally overseen in their fabrication and have for sale through the SPRITE Regalia Store and others I have come across just by accident.
John’s story goes something like this. When the Donald Healey Company had the lapel button hole smiling Sprite pins first made they were white cloisonné on shiny chrome metal. John asked the company making these pins if a one could be made up in black and gold. It was made as a one-off Smiling Sprite pin. I couldn’t believe his gift and have held it in very high esteem.
Now here is the good part that will include you. I recently explained to John how much I appreciated his gift and how good it made me feel. I asked his permission to have some replicas of his one-off Smiling Sprite pin made up for our special 50th anniversary gathering for the Sprite. He agreed and now the pins ready and waiting for our May Sprite Jubilee meet. Only a limited number of these pins have been made in keeping with their past history. While attending Sprite Jubilee you will be part of some new history concerning these little smiling Sprite pins.

I can only hope these special pins will give everyone as much pleasure as the first one-off pin did for me.

Eat Your Bugeye & Bonnet Badge Too!

Back by popular requests are the scrumptious milk chocolate Bugeyes and Bugeye bonnet badges.   Look out Ghirardelli!   Yes, SPRITE elves Emily Plankey and Cindy Bomgardner poured up a fresh batch of these delectable goodies just in time for SJ08.  Here is Just one more SWEET reason to attend Sprite Jubilee’s gala 50th anniversary extravaganza.

Each chocolate Bugeye or Bugeye bonnet badge is individually wrapped and sealed air tight in special clear candy plastic bags.  The candy car weighs in at about 1 ½ ounces at curbside.  Bonnet badges are a little less at about 1 oz.  The elves picked Wilbur’s chocolate buds from Lititz, PA, Pennsylvania Dutch County, after extensive screenings for the best tasting Bugeye you will ever eat.

Try the incredible edible Bugeyes yourself.  It’s just another preview of the many additional surprises to come at Sprite Jubilee.   Details … details … details … honoring the Sprite, that is what Sprite Jubilee is all about.   There is always lots of fun, neat stuff to wow everybody.

Five candy novelties, your choice of cars or bonnet badges, for $6 handling & postage paid.  Yo, postage is over $2.50 per box. Checks in US funds are ok, while supplies last or until the weather turns hot.  Place your order at dr.moses@verizon.net.  Send your check, in US funds, to SRITE Elf Chocolate Headquarters, 1421 East Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA  17033-1165.  Where else, other than SPRITE, can you find this kind of unusual bargain, especially if you are a molded chocolate and Sprite connoisseur?   The SPRITE elves are literally working for your enjoyment for free.  Actually, all monies collected on elf made chocolates goes to help finance the awards for the popular vote contest “ELF YOURSELF,” The contest is where SJ08 helpers are asked to dress up like an elf at Sprite Jubilee.   Strange, but it is true!

Follow up your chocolate delight with your very own engraved Austin-Healey Sprite toothbrush!   See them at http://www.austinhealeysprite.org/regalia_sales.html just below on this page.  Yep, you can get them at Sprite Jubilee or by mail too.  The shiny black handled gold engraved brush with snazzy black/white bristles is just what the dentist ordered to give you that dazzling smile for SJ08.  We have thought of everything don’t you think?

  Keep smiling,
