Obtained .... if you would like more information about this ad contact SPRITE. 1-22-08 Rick, I wanted to let you know that I've bought a Sprite so you can delete my "want ad" or note the information on the Sprite Jubilee site. I've got to tell you that I was contacted by some wonderful people in response to the information on your site. And I can see that some of them will become long-term contacts for me. For information's sake, I bought a green '59 Bugeye from Louisiana, and I hope to be able to participate in the Sprite Jubilee in Carlisle with it. Thanks again for your support and help. 'Talk to you again soon. Dwight
12-26-07 Bugeye wanted: Dear Dr. Moses, I'm from Hollidaysburg, PA and I'm a retired long time amateur SCCA racer (but still have a fulltime vocation) and I'm now more interested in less stressful (and I'm hopeful somewhat less expensive) car hobbies. My very first sports car was a '59 Bugeye (bought in '62 for $700) and think I'd like to get another Bugeye for just tinkering, showing, Sunday driving, etc. I've been watching e-bay and have made occasional bids on some Sprites, but I'd much rather be able to deal with someone personally and also actually see the vehicle before I commit myself. In that regard, I know you are very active in Sprite groups and I thought you may know of some desireable Bugeyes within a reasonable distance from us (200-400 miles) that may be available for purchase.
I'm looking for a fairly sound vehicle and I'm not a purist for authenticity (engine and brake upgrades do not bother me). I can afford what appears to be the price range of most decent cars I see on e-bay.
Incidentally, I'd love to join the 50th anniversary Sprite Jubilee at Carlisle if I have a nice car. If you know of any possibilities, I'd really appreciate some assistance.
Please e-mail me at ....... or call days, ....... or evenings, ......., Thanks so much. Regards, ....... |

| 12-24-07 The car is a 1966 Mark III. It's not original, but very sound and no major rust. It has the correct 1098 engine with a Weber carb and a new Pertonix ignition and coil. I also believe, but have no documentation, that there is some kind of street cam in the motor. I will also include whatever extra parts that I have. I am asking $5,200.00 for the car and spares.

| 122407 Help wanted. Hi. I assume from your discussion of Bugeyezing a Spridget chassis that you or people you know have experience with this modification. I am shopping for a modest project, would prefer a Mark I Sprite, but need windows and a proper top in NY. So I am shopping for a '72-'74 Midget. I would very much like to chat with people who have experience Bugeyezing a Midget. Aloha, Michael Rowe Telephone # 631-878-9384 mdrowe@optonline.net |

112907 FOR SALE from GaunthierVandepeutte gauthier@vandepeutte.com
I bought this car earlier this year with the intention of rebuilding it. I have a title also. The car was sold as a 63 model. The car came as a rebuilable car, it's not back toogether yet. The front end has been totally rebuild, the dash also, the wiring harness is new.
The motor with the tranny seems to be in really good shape, I have boxes and boxes of parts.
I also have an second full body, a second engine, a second tranny, plus many parts.
Between both cars, It looks like everything is there to rebuild a car.
There is no rust on the body, I hear the car came from Arizona originaly.
I don't want to use Ebay, I'd rather deal directly with somebody interested.
The car is located in Denver, Colorado. |
